LA GOMERA

DIVERSE AND PRISTINE

The island of La Gomera encompasses 370 square kilometers, features a lovely temperate climate and is relatively easy to get to. Travel here either by air (30 minutes from Tenerife North airport (TFN) or two short hops from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria airport (LPA) with Binter) or a ferry ride either from Tenerife (1 hour ferry ride from Los Cristianos port which is located 20 minutes from Tenerife South airport (TFS)) or Gran Canaria (the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma. Located 30 minutes from LPA (2 hour ferry ride)). La Gomera was awarded ‘excellent’ category World Biosphere Reserve status in 2011 thanks to its pristine marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

The landscape is incredibly diverse and encompasses palm-filled green valleys, deep ravines, sand beaches, ancient forests and bubbling crystalline streams, all surrounded by deep blue water which form part of the migration routes of the largest pelagic fish on earth.
